Meet Angie Alvarez.
Facilitating professionals in diversifying their career opportunities in the AI era.
In the last 17 years, I have been responsible for the Human Resources area for international companies. I have more than 20 years of experience for internal and external clients in the hotel industry, call centers, technology, industrial, financial services, and insurance.
I am the Director of HR OPPORTUNITY, the first company in Latin America to represent HRCI® — Human Resources Certification Institute — and the facilitator of preparation programs for certification across the region. Since 2023, IDC® Institute for Diversity Certification assigned me to train Spanish-speaking professionals for CDP® & CDE® certification levels.
In 2019, I founded the first low-cost recruitment and career company in the world, SCOUTER, which in July 2020 was recognized as a success story on LinkedIn®.
About my personal life
My path is my purpose.
I had the blessing of living in Florida, USA, for 7 wonderful years of my life. Due to immigration issues, my family and I were deported from the USA back to Perú in 2007, when I was 25 years old. Since then, my journey in my country has been challenging — and fortunately the internet has let me build business relationships with great institutions that believe in my talent and my purpose in life.
